We have over 14 years of experience investigating all types of civil cases.
Over the past ten years we have focused on Insurance and General Civil Defense investigation. Much of our defense work has come from our participation in various large multi-party “mass tort” cases. Criminal Defense Investigation

For twenty six years David W. Luther has investigated crimes and helped prepare them for trial. Twelve years as a Harris County Deputy Sheriff and Detective and fourteen years as a private investigator have given him insight and expertise rarely matched in the Houston area. We have handled hundreds of criminal cases for the defense ranging from seemingly inconsequential misdemeanors to Capital Felonies in both the State and Federal Courts. In many cases, the resulting investigation provided information which mitigated the circumstances of or exonerated the Defendant. In others, the investigation allowed the Attorney to negotiate a plea agreement favorable to the Defendant. We use our experience, training and extensive contacts to reinvestigate the government’s case and provide an objective fact assessment to the Client Attorney. Don’t use the government’s version of the facts, let us seek out the truth.

Surveillance

The Firm's investigators have a combined 25 years of civil surveillance experience. We use the latest video equipment and have successfully completed hundreds of surveillance cases. These surveillance investigations have saved our Client’s millions of dollars in potential claims paid to malingers or fraudsters. These investigations also help to objectively evaluate these claims and further prevent fraud.

 

Family Law Matters

Divorce and the related proceedings are some of the most personally trying times a man or woman will face. We understand the trauma associated with Divorce for the spouses and especially the children. While some divorces can be resolved with few problems, many require extensive negotiation or litigation. Our experience and compassion allows us to provide a full range of services to the Family Law Practitioner and the Client such as:

  • Service of Protective Orders, Temporary Restraining Orders and other hard to serve process

Financial Investigations to collect judgments or in anticipation of litigation are complex and require a high degree of expertise. Successful asset investigations are based on experience, investigative knowledge, resourcefulness and varied informational sources. This Firm can provide all the needed resources, in an effective balance that supports a positive outcome. No one can guarantee success, but if you want to go after your money, you need the resources that give you the best chance to collect judgments.

Process Service

The firm has two trained and experienced process servers, both are authorized to serve all notices in the trial Courts of Harris, Montgomery and Ft. Bend Counties. We serve all State and Federal process and our fees are very competitive. We can also seamlessly locate new addresses for the party when the service address is not correct.
